Asia Cup 2022, IND vs PAK: Rohit Sharma shares positive updates on Virat Kohli

India will cross swords against arch-rivals Pakistan in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai tomorrow. 

Before this all-important encounter, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has shared some positive news on the legendary batter Virat Kohli, who is making his comeback from a long break. 

Rohit observes that Kohli has been toiling hard in the nets and looks in brilliant touch with the willow. As the legendary Indian opener put it in the pre-match press conference, Kohli doesn't seem to be overthinking and is focusing on doing basics right. 

"I liked what I saw of Virat Kohli at the nets. He looked in great touch. He is working extremely hard. And it doesn't seem like he is thinking too much. He is the same as he was before."

Furthermore, Rohit hailed Virat for not letting the break affect his attitude. Rohit, who has represented India in 410 matches, also termed Virat's freshness influential for the other members. 

"He is coming after a month break, so the freshness, which is important for everyone, is there to be seen."

Notably, the game against Pakistan will be Kohli's 100th T20I game. Further, he will attain a unique milestone of being the first Indian to feature in 100 games in all three formats of the game.
