Asia Cup 2022: Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud and Mahedi Hasan injured


image-l72wh1cgHasan Mahmud has been suffering with injury concerns for quite some time now 


Bangladesh's future at the Asia Cup 2022 is looking grim as the team faces back-to-back injury concerns. Over the last few weeks the Tigers have already lost a couple players due to injuries. 

Opener Liton Das, one of the top scoring team member, was ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury and Nurul Hasan Sohan is on rest following a finger injury. 


Hasan Mahmud's prolonged injury

The pacer has been suffering with a prolonged ankle injury since Bangladesh's tour of Zimbabwe. As per reports the pacer was practicing on field when the prolonged injury flared up. 

He is set to go through MRI scans to determine the severity of the injury. The speedster will not be taking part in any of the warm-up matches ahead of the Asia Cup 2022. 


Mahedi Hasan limps out of the nets

Mahedi was reportedly injured while bowling to teammate Mosaddek Hossain, the pacer got caught in the line of the shot and suffered a hard-hit blow to his leg. Following which the spinner was seen limping back to the pavillion. 

Bangladesh is set to play it's first match 30th August against Afghanistan.
