Asghar Afghan backs Virat Kohli to give his best against Pakistan

The second match of the ongoing Asia Cup will see two arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, taking on each other in Dubai tonight. 

As we know, the Indian stalwart Virat Kohli has been struggling with his form for quite a while now. In fact, he is coming off a one-month-long break and will participate in this encounter without ample game time. In such a scenario, people are doubtful of Kohli putting up an impressive show in this all-important encounter. 

However, former Afghanistan skipper Asghar Afghan feels that Kohli will silence his critics by playing a match-winning knock against Pakistan. 

Asghar, who represented Afghanistan in 195 matches, stressed that Kohli has always performed in crucial games ,and today it won't be an exception. The stylish right-handed batter further expected Kohli to give his 200 per cent in this high-voltage affair. 

"He will perform against Pakistan. In big matches, he always performs. Although many things depend upon luck, he's hungry for runs and will give his 200 per cent against Pakistan."

Notably, this game will mark Virat Kohli's 100th T20 appearance in the Indian colours. He will also become the first-ever Indian cricketer to feature in 100 games in all three formats.
