On Sunday, Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 3 runs in the Super-12 stage of the tournament. It was a close contest between the two sides, but the Tigers held their nerves and eventually crossed the winning line.

Now speaking to ESPNCricinfo after the loss, former Zimbabwe skipper, Andy Flower has said that lack of composure and clear thinking costed Zimbabwe the match.

"It's really frustrating to see that little bit of skittishness and panicky feel that we got from their fielding in the first innings, that was an indicator of how they are going to bat. The lack of composure, the lack of solidity and the lack of clear thinking has costed them the game," Flower said.

The 54-year-old further added that Zimbabwe had a great chance to qualify for the semis, but frustratingly missed out on it.

"It was so frustrating to watch that chase. Prior to that game, Zimbabwe had a great chance to get into the semis. Beating Bangladesh and Netherlands were most likely their targets and 150 on this pitch was gettable."

Zimbabwe still have their hopes alive, and have to win their remaining games to be in contention for that semi-finale spot.
