A big update coming from Pakistan cricket, as the second Test match scheduled between Pakistan and Bangladesh from August 30-September 3 at the National Stadium in Karachi, will now be played behind closed doors.

Pakistan's sports journalist Saj Sadiq took to Twitter to shed light on the decision and stated that due to the ongoing construction at the Karachi Stadium in light of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, no spectators will be allowed inside the stadium.

"In light of ongoing construction work at the National Bank Stadium as part of preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025, the PCB has decided to hold the 2nd Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, scheduled from 30 August to 3 September, without spectators in attendance."

Earlier, the PCB hogged the headlines after they announced the ticket prices for the upcoming Test games, and the starting prices were 15 Indian rupees. This led to the PCB becoming a laughing stock on the internet as they were trolled for keeping such low prices.

"We understand the vital role that our enthusiastic supporters play in cricket, providing encouragement and inspiration to our players. However, after thoroughly considering all options, we have concluded that the safest course of action is to hold the match without spectators," the PCB stated.

However, they will now play without any spectators at the ground. Further, the fans who have already purchased the tickets online will now be given a full refund as the ticket sale has been suspended immediately.

Talking about the Champions Trophy 2025, then Pakistan will be the host as the competition will commence from 19 February to 9 March 2025.
