Another day, another action-packed period awaits us in the 2023 World Cup with a doubleheader in the cards. The first game will see England square off against Bangladesh in the HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala. This will be the second game of both teams in the ongoing bonanza event and is slated to begin at 10:30 AM.

Both sides kicked off the tournament in contrasting manners. England were trounced by New Zealand in the competition opener in an eye-opener. They were restricted to 282 runs in the first innings which was surmounted for the loss of just one wicket by the Kiwis.

On the other hand, Bangladesh handed defeat to Afghanistan in their first encounter. A disciplined bowling saw them restrict the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led unit to just 156 runs. The paltry total was chased down with ease on the back of half-centuries from Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

As England looks to find their first win, Bangladesh looks to continue their winning form. Let us have a look at England's predicted XI against Bangladesh for match 7 of World Cup 2023.

Openers- Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow.

Bangladesh is a spin dominating side and they did well in the same venue in their latest game against Bangladesh. In such a scenario, characters like Dawid Malan can be very handy at the top order for the English unit. Malan is a very good reader of spin and showed impressive colours to grab the top spot in the absence of Jason Roy. Partnering him should be the attacking Jonny Bairstow who is nothing short of a swashbuckler in the white ball formats. He was England's third highest run-scorer in their last game but failed to convert the score.

Middle Order- Joe Root, Harry Brook and Jos Buttler

There were plenty of concerns regarding Joe Root's form in the lead up to the World Cup. But cometh the time, and Root stepped up with a brilliant half-century that laid the foundation of a fighting score. Root is the key for England in the middle order and joining forces should be Harry Brook and Jos Buttler.

Although Brook has blown hot and cold in the past few months, he's filling the void of Ben Stokes who's nursing a hip injury. Buttler, on the other hand, has been an unsung hero for England in their past few ODI matches. He stepped up in the middle order and adapted to various conditions showcasing versatility. Also, he is the captain of the side and will play an indispensable role behind the stumps.

All-rounders: Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, and Sam Curran

Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali possess the spin bowling all-rounder role for the side. Moeen is generally a floater in the middle order and shall be pushed up if there's a need for a southpaw. Livingstone is another important factor and can act as the catalyst with the bat in hand. He has the potential to bring quick runs with the bat and showed glimpses of it during the first and second ODI against New Zealand last month.

Adding enormous depth to the batting order, Sam Curran comes to bat at no. 8 for England. The all-rounder can bowl across various phases in the game and has the ability to take wickets whenever a partnership is building. The Surrey cricketer has had a brilliant County season with the bat in the English summer and will look to transpire it in the international stage.

Bowlers: Reece Topley, Mark Wood and Adil Rashid

Chris Woakes failed to deliver in the last game against New Zealand, leaking runs at an economy of 7.50, and therefore England may opt for a left-arm quick, Reece Topley. The conditions in Dharamshala should not be apt for Woakes' type and someone like Topley may get the nod ahead of the veteran.

Meanwhile the duo of Adil Rashid and Mark Wood should continue to feature for the Brendon McCullum-coached community in their next assignment. Although they lacked lustre in the last game, Wood's extra pace can push the opponents on the back foot while Rashid may hold the middle-over with his speed changes and variations.
