New Zealand has been eliminated from the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, after their humiliating defeat against Pakistan in the first semi-final at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

In the match, New Zealand won the toss and batted first and were able to score 152 runs in their 20 overs. Pakistan chased down the target rather easily losing only 3 wickets and 5 balls  left in the match.

The Journey for New Zealand

The tournament started on a high for the 'Kiwis' as they defeated Australia rather convincingly. They continued their good form throughout the tournament barring the match against England. It was the only encounter that they lost in the Super 12s.

With the form in their side New Zealand arrived at the semi finals. But they were disappointing in the night and put up a sub par performance to say they least.

Innings: 4 Runs: 109 Avg: 54.50 SR: 128.23

Daryl Mitchell played a the innings of a lone warrior for his team in the semi-final. The knock under pressure from Mitchell earned him some extra rating points.

Jimmy Neesham's performance was way below average with the bat. Also, the fact he was not bowling in the tournament did not leave him with much chances to earn positive rating points.

Trent Boult- 6/10
