Having won two in two, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals are on a roll in the IPL 2024, with Riyan Parag, in particular, making a significant impact at No. 4. They will next face Mumbai Indians on Monday (April 1) in Match 14 of the ongoing edition at Wankhede Stadium.
The outing will surely be tough for Samson & Co., given that the Hardik Pandya-led side are yet to open their account. The 2008 IPL winners do not have many things to worry about, but one thing is still to come: Rovman Powell's unleashing.
Despite playing ruthlessly in IPL 2022, Powell did not get many opportunities in Delhi Capitals (DC) last year. Yet, the Royals invested heavily on him, giving him a whopping INR 7.4 crore contract.
However, it seems like Powell has to wait a bit longer to revamp himself in the competition. His like-for-like impact player Nandre Burger has announced his arrival already, and unless there is a sudden collapse, RR are likely to continue their previous approach.
Among the others, no change is on the cards unless there is injury concerns. The likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, R Ashwin, and Trent Boult, among many more, are all expected to be in the playing XI to carry on the momentum.
