On Sunday, Rajasthan Royals will meet Kolkata Knight Riders in match 70 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Having won eight of their thirteen group-stage matches, the Royals have already qualified for the playoffs.

However, Jos Buttler's unavailability could be a huge setback for the Royals as it has weakened their batting lineup.

Barring Buttler's absence, what concerns the Royals is Yashasvi Jaiswal's abysmal batting form. In 13 innings, the southpaw has managed 348 runs at a modest average of 29.

Despite scoring a century against the bottom-placed Mumbai Indians, Jaiswal has been inconsistent in the tournament.

However, as they don't have a proper alternative for Jaiswal, RR can't afford to bench the explosive left-hander.

In such a scenario, Jaiswal would be desperate to live up to his potential and play an impactful knock for his side.

Among others, Tom Kohler-Cadmore will open the batting with Jaiswal, with Samson, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel following them. However, if fit, Shimron Hetmyer will replace Rovman Powell, who has failed to fire with the bat.

Trent Boult will lead the Royals' pace battery alongside Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan, with R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal playing as the two spinners.
