On Wednesday, December 18, India's star spinner R Ashwin announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect. The right-arm off-spinner has had an illustrious career as he hangs up his boots as India's second-leading wicket-taker across formats.
Ashwin, who made his India debut in 2010, has featured in 287 Tests, has 765 wickets and is the 11th leading wicket-taker in cricket.
