Guardians of the 'Title' or should I say Gujarat Titans, the defending champs of the Indian Premier League are all pumped to take onto their sixth innings of the season against the Nawabs, Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 22 at 3:30 pm.

Although, Hardik Pandya's luck has been low this season the entire team, from the top order to the ravishing bowlers, looks stronger than ever. A win against LSG would ensure GT of two points and thereby strengthen their position at the points table.

Here's our predicted playing XI of the Gujarat Titans:

Openers: Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha

Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha, the two GT openers have collectively made 145 runs in their five innings together. Out of the two, Gill has consistently scored runs for the team keeping his calm and composure while Saha takes on a more aggressive approach, being a powerplay enforcer for GT, often providing his team with brisk starts.

Middle Order: Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya, David Miller and Rahul Tewatia

Although as a captain, he has been doing great Hardik Pandya's form has been debilitating since the inception of this IPL season, having scored only 49 runs and taking only 1 wicket in the four innings he's played, Pandya, the oh-so stunning all rounder has failed to make a mark till now.

On the other hand, Sai Sudharshan has been in exceptional form and displaying impressive performances. He is aptly-known for his ability to perform well in crucial matches and the potential to completely change the course of the game with his powerful hitting skills.

Moreover, GT possesses two exceptional players for finishing matches, specifically David Miller and Rahul Tewatia, who are of fine quality. Miller is an excellent fielder and a powerful batsman, whereas Tewatia's experience can provide valuable overs in addition to his skills. He has been successful in keeping his reputation as the 'designated finisher for GT' intact by performing well.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, and Joshua Little

This year, GT arguably has the best bowling line-up with Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Joshua Little; it doesn't get any better. Even Mohit Sharma's inclusion has been beneficial for the team.

Whether it is Shami's ability to use variations with good effect in the death overs, Alzarri Joseph's seven wickets in handful innings or Rashid Khan's hattrick against KKR , each and every player compliments one another remarkably.

Predicted Playing XI of Gujarat Titans:

Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, and Joshua Little
