Siechem Madurai Panthers and Trichy Grand Cholas will collide in match number seven of the ongoing 2024 Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) season on July 9. The much-awaited contest, marking the second respective outing for both sides this tournament, will be hosted by the Salem Cricket Foundation Ground and the action will commence from 7:15 PM IST onwards.

The Trichy Grand Cholas, on the other hand, lost their opening game to Dindigul Dragons by a 16-run margin on July 6. After K Easwaran collected figures of 6-32 to restrict Dragons to 160-8, the Grand Cholas line-up managed to tally just 144-8 in response.
None of their top-order batters settled in, with R Rajkumar’s mere 31 emerging as the biggest benefactor of Grand Cholas’ run-chase.
As of now, Trichy Grand Cholas are placed at the bottom of the eight-team TNPL 2024 points table, finding themselves below seventh-placed Salem Spartans courtesy of an inferior net run-rate.
