Bangladesh players who can join KKR [Source: iplt20.com]
The IPL 2025 is just around the corner and the buzz has already been started for the cash-rich league. All the ten teams have assembled their squad and are looking strong on paper. However, prior to the tournament, several teams are facing injury crisis and one of them is Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Their star buy of the season, Anrich Nortje is nursing an injury and was ruled out of the Champions Trophy. However, the South African pacer is still doubtful for the upcoming IPL as KKR are sweating on his fitness. In the history of IPL, there have been a couple of Bangladesh players who have made a name for themselves.
KKR also have a history with Bangladesh players as Shakib Al Hasan was associated with them. In case Nortje gets ruled out of the IPL as well, KKR might turn their attention to 3 quality Bangladesh players as his replacement and here's who they are.
1) Mustafizur Rahman (base price 2 cr)

Criterion | Data |

Wickets | 61 |
Average | 28.89 |
Economy rate | 8.14 |
Mustafizur Rahman has prior experience of playing in the IPL and has done well in the 57 matches which he has played. The left-arm seamer has scalped 61 wickets and has been a potent weapon for the CSK in the past. Fizz has a base price of 2 crore and could be a steal at this price.
The Eden Gardens pitch has a bit for the bowlers who love to change their pace and Mustafiz could be an X-factor buy to replace Nortje in the KKR side.
2) Rishad Hossain (base price 75 lakh)
The newest sensation in Bangladesh cricket, Rishad Hossain has taken the international stage by storm and could be a game-changing buy for KKR. The defending champions have a love for quality spinners and in the mega auction, they missed out on Allah Ghazanafar, who eventually went to Mumbai Indians.
A leg spinner is always a valuable commodity and Rishad is a wicket-taker as well, something which the franchise will need in the absence of Nortje and moreover, Mitch Starc, who took wickets for them.
3) Taskin Ahmed (base price 1 cr)
Perhaps the most underrated bowler of the Bangladesh team, Taskin Ahmed had a base price of 1 crore and could be a great new ball bowler for KKR if the franchise decides to buy him.
He has brilliant control over his lines and lengths and can churn out early wickets. KKR have brilliant bowlers in the middle spell to take wickets, but with Nortje likely to be ruled out, they need someone who can also provide breakthrough at the top.
