The 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see Royal Challengers Bangalore locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, April 10 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Bangalore got off to a flying start in IPL 2023 by defeating the Mumbai Indians by 8 wickets in their opening match. However, their next game against the Kolkata Knight Riders was a complete letdown, with both their batting and bowling units failing to deliver as they suffered a devastating 81-runs defeat.

The Bangalore bowlers were put to the sword by the Kolkata Knight Riders' batters in their last match, leaving them with a mountain to climb in the second half. To add to their woes, their batting unit failed to deliver during the mammoth run chase and eventually lost the match.

Heading into this game, they will be looking to rectify their mistakes and put up a stronger showing, especially given that they will be playing at their home ground.

Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, have experienced their fair share of ups and downs in the tournament so far. They kicked off their campaign with a thumping 50-runs victory over the Delhi Capitals, but then stumbled against the Chennai Super Kings, losing by a mere 12 runs.

However, they bounced back in style, securing a comfortable five-wicket win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their very next game. Having garnered four points in the tournament thus far, the team currently sits at third place on the points table. Heading into this game, they will be aiming to notch up another win and secure two more valuable points.

All in all, the upcoming match is set to be a nail-biting affair, with both teams boasting some of the best T20 players in the game. However, before we dive into the excitement of the game, let's take a quick look at the head-to-head record of both teams in the tournament thus far:

RCB vs LSG: Head-to-Head

Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow Super Giants have crossed swords twice in the Indian Premier League, with the former coming out on top in both matches. The Super Giants, meanwhile, failed to get the better of their opponents on either occasion.

  • Total Matches played: 2
  • RCB Won: 2
  • LSG Won: 0

Stats & Facts

  • The mere sight of KL Rahul, the captain of Super Giants, is enough to give RCB a headache. I am not saying this, his numbers justify it - 610 runs in 12 innings against RCB, with an average of 76.25 and a strike rate of 147.70.
  • Furthermore, the Karnataka batters love M. Chinnaswamy, having scored 413 runs in 14 innings at an average of 37.55 and a strike rate of 143.90. He will be looking to add more to his kitty when he takes the field against RCB on Monday.
  • Quinton de Kock, the star Proteas batter has also got exceptional numbers at this ground , having amassed 463 runs at an average of 46.30 and strike rate of 147.45. However, it will be interesting to see if he gets a nod for the starting XI of LSG this time around.
  • Virat Kohli struck an unbeaten 82 runs off just 49 balls against Mumbai Indians last week at Chinnaswamy. The former RCB captain has a sensational record on this ground, having scored 2,844 runs at an average of 37.92 and a strike rate of 140.72.
