The head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sanjay Bangar, has expressed his faith in the team's young batters, who are struggling to find their rhythm in the ongoing IPL season.

While the likes of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell have been in top form for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season, the team's youngsters like Mahipal Lomror, Shahbaz Ahmed, Anuj Rawat, and Suyash Prabhudessai have yet to make their mark on the tournament.

Rajat Patidar's absence has been felt by the team, but their head coach is confident that the younger players will make an impact in the tournament. He believes in their abilities and expects them to rise to the challenge.

Speaking ahead of the match against Punjab Kings, as quoted by Sportskeeda, here’s what RCB head coach said:

"We have a lot of faith in the abilities of our inexperienced batters, because they have been with us for the last two years. So far, it has been a mixed bag, but we cannot forget that Mahipal scored that 30-odd or Shahbaz put that partnership in the DC game."

Bangar further pointed out that these players have got limited opportunities to bat as the top three have been delivering consistently for the team.

"So, they have not actually had the chance to bat for a long period of time, because our top order has been doing so well.”

Bangar further weighed in on the importance of running between the wickets and how it would be the key for the RCB batters heading into their upcoming game against Punjab Kings at Mohali.

"Here what will come in the equations is how well we run between the wickets, I think that is going to be key and something that you will get to see from the batting unit.”

The ongoing season has been a bumpy ride for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have won only two matches out of the five played so far.

The team must be feeling the pinch of their narrow losses against Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants.

Currently sitting at the eighth spot on the points table, the team will be aiming to win the upcoming match to climb up the standings.
