The second ODI of the ongoing New Zealand Women’s tour of India will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 27. With their male counterparts registering their first-ever Test series victory in India today, it should be enough a motivation for the Women to avoid a series loss with a match to be played.

Fresh off a maiden ICC T20 World Cup victory, New Zealand Women have themselves achieved a significant milestone this month to remain inspired. With a 9-11 head-to-head record against India in India, it shouldn’t be impossible for them to stage a comeback.

Bundled out for 227 in the 45th over, the general consensus around the Indian innings was how they ended up with a below par innings total on a pitch which had more for the batters.
