India and South Africa competed hard in a riveting 3 match T20I series. India emerged winners by a margin of 2-1. As both the teams gave their best there were some memorable performances from the players of both the sides.

Quinton de Kock (WK)
De Kock has been brilliant in the series
Quinton de Kock has scored 138 runs in the series at a strike rate of 145.26. He was the reason for the solid starts that South Africa got in the last two matches of the series. Hence, De Kock is the wicket keeper and the first choice opener of the team.
KL Rahul
KL Rahul anchors the Indian batting foundation
KL Rahul has scored 108 runs in the series at a strike rate of 128.57. His role of being the sheet anchor at the top earns him the place of the second opener of the team.

Rilee Rossouw
Rossouw came good in the final match of the series
After scoring a golden and a silver duck in the first two matches respectively, Rossouw came good in the final match of the series. He played a brilliant knock of 100 runs form 48 deliveries and helped his team to a total of 227 runs in 20 overs. He is the number three batter of this team.
Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav once again proved that he is currently the most dynamic batter in the T20I format in the series. He scored 119 runs in the series at a strike rate of 195.08. The perfect number 4 for this team.
David Miller
David Miller has scored 125 runs in the series at an awe inspiring strike rate of 235.84. The way he did the job of a finisher in the series is exactly suitable for a batter slotted at number 5.
Dinesh Karthik
The designated finisher for India played his role to great perfection. He scored 63 runs in the series at a strike rate of 225. Karthik was always there for India to play the small cameos helping his team to powerful finishes.

Keshav Maharaj

Keshav Maharaj was the man of emergency for South Africa in the series. In the first match he played an important knock of 41 runs under pressure. He also has 4 wickets to his name in the series. Hence, Maharaj is the first choice all-rounder in this team.
Dwaine Pretorius
Although, Dwaine Pretorius featured in only one match in the series, he made his presence felt in that. Pretorius bowled 3.3 overs in the last match picked up 3 wickets and conceded just 26 runs in them. His batting ability, though not tested in the series makes him the second all rounder of the team.
Bowlers
Arshdeeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh is evolving as a complete package for India
Arshdeep Singh picked up 5 wickets in the series in just 2 matches. In the very first match he bowled a fiery opening spell and proved his worth with the new ball to go along with his death over bowling skills. Although he was taken to the cleaners in the second match, being the highest wicket taker in the series makes him the first choice bowler in this team.
Wayne Parnell
Wayne Parnell played a gutsy knock of 24 runs from 37 balls in the first match and backed it up with an economical spell. He was also decent in the last match where he picked up 2 wickets. His all round show earns him the spot in the team.
Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar was brilliant with the ball in the very first match. He broke the back of the Proteas batting in the match along with Arshdeep Singh. Chahar also played a great cameo in the last match where he scored 31 runs off 17 balls. The batting display in the last match and 3 wickets in the series earns him the spot in this team.
