DV vs MIE: Match 7 Preview
Desert Vipers
Desert Vipers have been simply top-class with their approach and strategy, thanks to their new skipper, Lockie Ferguson, who looks formidable in this setup. The entire side is performing so far with valiant contributions from Dan Lawrence, Sam Curran and Sherfane Rutherford doing their job with the bat, while Mohammad Amir, Luke Wood, alongside Ferguson himself, have been spot-on with the ball.
In their previous encounter against Gulf Giants, the Vipers gave away nothing to the opposition as they didn't let them cross 119 after the conclusion of 20 overs. Pacers grabbed wickets at regular intervals and caused problems for the batters, keeping the run rate in check. None of the batters except James Vince could score runs from the opposition side. Meanwhile, Vipers finished the game with six wickets and 14 deliveries to spare. On the table, they are handsomely placed at the pole position with four points from two games after two consecutive victories.
MI Emirates
The MI Emirates, led by Caribbean superstar Nicholas Pooran, is quite explosive with the bat, as was evident during the last game, which they won against Dubai Capitals after defending 187. Pooran's decisive innings of 59 off 29 balls was in a supporting cast to Tom Banton's marvellous 74. From the bowlers, Fazalhaq Farooqi did what he is known for by picking two wickets for just 22 runs.
This was their first win this year as they are currently second on the charts with two points from two games while losing one against the same opponent in their opening game by a bare margin of 1 run. Other players to look out for in the squad are Kieron Pollard, Romaria Shephard, Alzarri Joseph and Waqar Salamkheil.
DV vs MIE: Weather And Pitch Report
Weather
Just like it has been so far, Dubai's weather is likely to stay stable for the entire duration of this game, meaning it will be sunny and clear with hardly any chance of rain. It's not going to be hot like it usually is during any other time of the year, which makes it easier for players to spend time on the field without much humidity. The temperatures are going to stay somewhere around 17-24 degrees. Hence, we can expect a full encounter without any stoppages.
Pitch Report
Still the early days in the competition, but the pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is favouring pacers more than anyone else at this stage. It is very uncharacteristic of the Dubai wicket to behave like this, which primarily could be due to the fact that they have made an effort to prepare strips like these, ditching the old usual formula of dishing out flat surfaces, which later deteriorates as the competition progresses.
So, pacers should be consistent with their line and length to enjoy the reward on this wicket, whereas the spinners are not getting much so far. Batters, meanwhile, will have to work the hardest if the wicket is somewhat like it was in the previous game. A score of 150 can be competitive, with the team winning the toss likely to bowl first.
DV vs MIE: Probable XIs

DV vs MIE: Fantasy Cricket Tips
With conditions in mind, picking pacers would make more sense, as Lockie Ferguson, Mohammad Amir, and Fazalhaq Farooqi are more than capable of turning things around. X-factor is definitely going to be Sam Curran after what he has done in the previous two matches. In the batting department, Nicholas Pooran, Tom Banton, Kieron Pollard alongside Sherfane Rutherford should be preferred.
DV vs MIE: Winner Prediction
The chances are high that the ball will again move around in these conditions in Dubai. Keeping that in mind, the Desert Vipers will likely find the win here because of their potent pace attack.
