Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to face off in the high-stakes IPL 2024 eliminator 1 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday, May 22. This match is pivotal as both teams aim to secure a spot in the finals on May 26.

RCB have had a shaky start to the season but found their rhythm as the tournament progressed, culminating in a crucial 27-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in the group stage. This win secured their place in the eliminator.

In contrast, RR, despite a strong start, have struggled recently with four consecutive losses, making this match a must-win to keep their title hopes alive.

Given the significance of this match, RCB will be looking to field a strong and cohesive playing XI. Despite Glenn Maxwell's recent dip in form, where he replaced Will Jacks in the last match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis may opt to retain faith in the Australian all-rounder, hoping he can deliver under pressure.

In the bowling department, Yash Dayal has been a key performer, notably taking two crucial wickets against CSK. He, along with Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, and Lockie Ferguson, will aim to dismantle RR’s batting lineup and steer RCB to victory.

RCB probable playing XI :

Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (c), Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, Cameron Green, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Mahipal Lomror, Yash Dayal, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Lockie Ferguson

Impact: Swapnil Singh, Anuj Rawat, Suyash Prabhudessai, Himanshu Sharma, Vyshak Vijaykumar
