May 2025 will be remembered by the Indian fans for losing two of their biggest stars from the cricketing field. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have both announced retirement from the longest format of the game. With the England series coming up India will now be keen to build up a unit that endures the test of the time and serves the nation for atleast 7-10 years.

Well, in order to build a solid Test unit, the stress should not only be on the batters. It is equally and probably more important to build a strong and stable bowling unit. As India prepare for the England Test series, here is a look at 3 bowlers who might debut in the series for the team.

3. Mayank Yadav

The Indian pacer has been the talk of the town for his raw pace. Mayank Yadav has shown that besides being fast he can also be pretty accurate when fit. Yes, fitness is a big concern for him. But if Mayank Yadav stays fit then he could be a valuable addition to the team. The pacer with his ability to hit good line and lengths regularly at high pace could prove potent for the Indian team and might tilt some of the games in the team's favour. Keeping his raw pace and ability control his line and length in mind, there is a chance that Yadav could make his Test debut for the team.

2. Anshul Kamboj

The medium pacer has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025. Anshul Kamboj has impressed with his new ball abilties. Besides, Kamboj can be a handy batter in the lower order.

Anshul Kamboj can be a threat to the English batters with his new ball in moving conditions. The fact that he has an average of around 23 with the ball in first class cricket, shows that he can last the test of the longer format. Having already proven his efficiency with the ball in the first class level, the Indian management could look at Anshul Kamboj as a viable option during the England tour.

1. Arshdeep Singh

The bowler who looks the most certain to make his Test debut in the England series is Arshdeep Singh. The left-arm pacer has shown great ability with the ball in all stages of the game in the limited overs. While he is more famous for his accurate yorkers, Arshdeep can also get swing with the new ball at the start of a game.

If we take a look at the first class record of Arshdeep Singh, he has 66 wickets in 21 matches at an average of 30.37. Even though the numbers are brilliant, he has given enough testament that Arshdeep Singh could be effective in Test cricket. The conditions in England favours the pacers, hence, Arshdeep looks like a great candidate to make debut in Test cricket during the England series.
