A mega auction is scheduled to take place ahead of IPL 2025. Most of the IPL teams will be looking to cover their bases while keeping their core strong. 

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be eager to end their 17-year trophy drought. In this attempt they might look to form a new core. Glenn Maxwell has been an integral part of the team for the past two season. However, in IPL 2024, the Australian all-rounder was not able to deliver as per expectations. Ahead of the upcoming season, RCB might look to release the star Australian all-rounder in order to build a new team with a new set of players.
