The IPL 2024 saw the Kolkata Knight Riders crowned the champions for the third time in the history of the tournament. The governing body of the league is now prepping up for the upcoming season, IPL 2025 which is about six to seven months from realisation. 

Even though there is time in IPL 2025, the tournament has already become a topic of discussion among the fans. The prime reason behind the upcoming edition of the tournament grabbing the attention of the fans is the mega-auction scheduled ahead of it. With player releases, retentions and RTMs on the card, it is expected that there will be a big shift in the dynamics before it hits the road.

RCB, MI and CSK are recognised as the most popular teams of the league. While RCB is still hunting its maiden IPL trophy, MI and CSK will be looking to instate their domination with their sixth title. Ahead of IPL 2025, all the the three teams will be looking build a solid squad for at least the upcoming two or three seasons.

MI might have to release Ishan Kishan, if they have to retain their four superstars. In that case, if they fail to buy Ishan Kishan back, they will look to pick Dhruv Jurel who has impressed with his performances recently. RCB depended a lot on Dinesh Karthik for the last few seasons. He kept the wicket and did the job a finisher for them regularly. As Karthik has announced his retirement they need someone to fill the post and Jurel could be a perfect candidate.
There are rumours that MS Dhoni will be playing as an uncapped player in IPL 2025. Even if he does, his fitness will be an issue and for him keeping might be a trouble. In that case, Jurel will be an essential entity for CSK.

Nitish Reddy could be a perfect fit for the void that they franchise had for long.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru often struggle for a middle-order batter. Nitish Reddy could be an important part in the RCB middle-order and also contribute with the ball. Chennai Super Kings have always prioritised players who can be useful for them with both the bat and the ball. With Nitish Reddy's dynamic batting and handy bowling abilities, he could be an integral part of the CSK set up.

MI might release Ishan Kishan ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction and then buy him back during the event. He has been one of their key players in the last few years and hence they will look to go hard for him in the auction.
With Dinesh Karthik gone, RCB will looking for someone to fill the vacant wicket-keeper's spot. Ishan Kishan's arrival might add dynamism and flexibility to their top order while giving them an useful wicket-keeper. MS Dhoni's knee-injury issues might prevent him from keeping wickets, even if he plays in IPL 2025.
