A multi-purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium is another venue for the much-awaited women’s global tournament. It marks the return of the ICC ODI World Cup to India, which was previously held in 2013.
Also known as the Vizag Cricket Stadium, the stadium is a picturesque ground known for its scenic backdrop and floodlit encounters. Notably, the pitch assists spinners, and the ball does not bounce much and hence, batting second is not always beneficial, though the dew factor sometimes plays a significant role. These conditions will bring another layer of difficulty for the women’s team competing in the race for the coveted trophy.
