Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood lashed out at a journalist after his team lost the second Test against West Indies. The skipper accused the reporter of being disrespectful and warned that such behaviour won’t be tolerated.

Pakistan split the 2-game Test series against West Indies after they lost the second game by 120 runs. Despite Sajid Khan and Noman Ali’s sensational spells, the batters failed to step up, leading to humiliating collapses in both the innings.

Moreover, when skipper Shan Masood turned up for the post-game press conference in Multan, the press asked some stingy questions and one journalist triggered his nerves.

Shan Masood warns journalist in a fiery face-off

A journalist asked Masood if he would step down from his role as Test captain after the humiliating defeat and also dragged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) into a conversation.

However, Shan Masood was in no mood to entertain any speculative talks and fired back at the reporter. He accused the journalist of being disrespectful and discredited his facts.

“Your information is completely inaccurate. You have your opinion, and I respect that, but there is a lot of disrespect in your question. You can’t show disrespect to players. We all play for Pakistan and get results, but no one will tolerate such behaviour,” Masood said via Inside Sports.

Moreover, the skipper alleged that the reports tried to bring the Pakistan team down and warned him saying such disgraceful behaviour won’t be tolerated in the future.

"We are trying to do something different. You must study that. Anyone can Google something, but we’ve won three out of our last four home Tests," he added.

West Indies shames Pakistan with historic win

West Indies humbled Pakistan in the second Test at Multan to clinch a historic 120-run victory. With that win, the Windies ended the 35-year winless drought. The team last won a Test in Pakistan in 1990 and after 35 years, Kraigg Braithwaite and co unleashed fury to script history.
