Since Pakistan's early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024, Babar Azam and his team have been under fire. The criticism, which has come from various quarters, has been particularly stinging. Reports have suggested that an ongoing rift within the team may have been a significant factor in their early departure.

Notably, Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif has added his voice to the chorus, sharing his views on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

In a video extracted from his YouTube channel, Rashid Latif is heard making bold remarks on the Pakistan opening duo by saying that if it were up to him, he would give them five games, and if they don't perform, there wouldn't be any place for them in the team.

Rashid Latif Blasts On Babar-Rizwan Pair

"I would give Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan 5 matches to change their batting approach in T20Is and if they won't, then there should be no place in the team for them."

There has been an unexplainable frequent change in Pakistan's leadership in the last one year from Babar Azam to Shaheen Afridi before it went back to Babar.

First Shaheen Afridi took over the role from Babar after the Men In Green's unsuccessful campaign at 2023 ODI World Cup held at India. However, later on Babar Azam was reinstated as Pakistan's skipper.

Now, once again after their early exit, there are numerous rumours suggesting that Babar would have to step down as captain - with Test captain Shan Masood and Rizwan as top contenders for next ODI skipper.
