Indian superstar Virat Kohli has a massive fan following all over the world. In the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025 against Pakistan, Kohli smashed a blistering hundred to help India to victory by six wickets.

Abrar Ahmed Pens Down Special Message For Virat Kohli

Pakistan's mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed rose to fame after an outstanding delivery to dismiss Shubman Gill, then gave him a send-off that caught the attention of fans and people worldwide.

During the game, both Abrar and Kohli shared a handshake after the bowler completed his spell of 28 runs in 10 overs while picking up a solitary wicket as after the game, both shared a customary handshake as well.

Now, Abrar, a few days after the game, has shared his love for the Indian legend. On the social media platform Instagram, Abrar posted a photo of him and Virat Kohli shaking hands, and along with the photo, Abrar posted a very emotional caption.

Ahmed wrote an emotional caption mentioning Kohli as his childhood hero while appreciating him for his greatness and humility. He then further refers to him as a true inspiration.

"Bowling to my childhood hero Virat Kohli. Grateful for his appreciation—his greatness as a cricketer is only matched by his humility as a person. A true inspiration on and off the field!"

Despite Gill's wicket, India still managed to defeat Pakistan comfortably, courtesy of an outstanding century by star batter Virat Kohli, who helped India win by six wickets.

Pakistan Eliminated, India To Play New Zealand Next

As for the Pakistan side, they have played all their games in the Champions Trophy and have been eliminated after the final match against Bangladesh ended up without a toss due to rain. 

While for India, they will be up against New Zealand in the high-profile game on 2nd March in Dubai International Cricket Stadium as both these sides have already qualified for the semi-finals.
