After years of absence, cricket is finally making its Olympic comeback at the Los Angeles 2028 Games. Ahead of that, Jay Shah’s unique initiative on the special day grabbed attention.

ICC Celebrates ‘Let's Move’ Campaign

After a historic 128-year leap, the game of cricket is set to be back on the prestigious stage of the Olympics. In the 2028 LA Olympics, the game is set to be included, starting a new era. Ahead of that, on June 23, when the entire world is celebrating the International Olympic Day, ICC’s special initiative grabs attention.

They celebrates the ‘Let’s Move’ campaign. A campaign that encourages everyone to be involved in a physical activity. It can be running, dancing, walking, or even cricket. The goal is to encourage people to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Adding to this, Participants are encouraged to invite another person and share their fun, energetic moments on social media using the hashtag #LetsMove.

Jay Shah Celebrates The Campaign On Social Media

Spreading his campaign more, ICC Chairman Jay Shah shared a heartfelt social media post regarding this, encouraging people to participate in the campaign.

“Cricket has always united us, and now, it's part of the Olympic movement! On this #OlympicDay, let’s celebrate the power of sport to inspire, connect, and uplift. Invite your +1 for a walk, a run, or a game of cricket, and take a step towards a stronger, healthier India. Together, let’s keep moving forward on our journey to bring the Olympic Games home!” he wrote on social media.

Cricket’s Comeback After A Century

After gracing the big stage last time in 1900, the game of cricket is coming back to excite fans after a century-long break. In the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, cricket is set to be reintroduced. Both men's and women's sides are set to participate in the tournament. The tournament is set to be played in the T20 format.
