It’s no secret that David Warner absolutely relishes being in Hyderabad. The aggressive left-hand batsman has played a lot of cricket here at this venue with his former IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. The franchise even went on to win the IPL title in the 2016 season under his esteemed leadership. However, they are yet to win a single title post the 2016 triumph but have managed to make it to the playoffs during each of the following seasons till 2020 in which Warner was an integral part.

Apart from cricket, Warner is deeply in love with the city’s culture and is fairly acquainted with popular tourist destinations in and around Hyderabad. This becomes quite evident once the 36-year-old posts several reels and videos over his social media profiles most notably TikTok.

During Australia’s second warm-up clash against Pakistan in Hyderabad, Warner expressed his unwavering love for this ancient city. So much so, that he was even given a go to bowl a few overs during that match.

He bowled only 2 overs and went around for plenty conceding a mammoth 41 runs while going wicketless. However, his form with the bat was pretty reasonable as he scored a brisk 48 off 33 deliveries before getting dismissed by Usama Mir during the 13th over. Warner scored at an exhilarating rate smashing 4 fours and 3 sixes in his entire innings.

Australia went on to post a monumental score of 351/7 on the back of some very impressive performances from Maxwell, Green, and Inglis who notched up delightful scores of 77 (71), 50 (40), and 48 (30) respectively. Pakistan made a valiant effort with the bat but the target proved too stiff for the Men in Green to chase it down within the required number of overs as they were bundled out for 337.
