A recent cryptic post by Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah on Instagram has sent fans and followers into a frenzy. The post, which simply stated 'Silence is sometimes the best answer,' has ignited a wave of speculation about its meaning, with many linking it to the surprising transfer of Hardik Pandya back to the Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the IPL 2024 season.

Bumrah, a linchpin in the Mumbai Indians' bowling attack since his IPL debut in 2015, has played a pivotal role in the team's four title triumphs. However, his recent social media activity, including the unfollowing of MI on Instagram, has led to rampant speculation about his future with the franchise.

Kris Srikkanth offered his perspective on the matter in a recent video on his YouTube channel. Srikkanth suggested that Bumrah might be hurt by the transfer of Hardik Pandya to MI, seeing it as a potential obstacle to his aspirations of succeeding Rohit Sharma as the captain of the team.

Here's what Kris Srikkanth said about Bumrah:

"You can't find another cricketer like Jasprit Bumrah. Be it Tests or white-ball cricket, he is one of the best going around. He gave it his all in the World Cup. And as you said, in the 5th Test against England, he was the stand-in Test captain in 2022. He might have regrets. He would have been hurt. He must be feeling that he stayed back with MI but the franchise is now celebrating someone who left and came back. 'You are making him the biggest thing on earth'. He might feel it's not fair."

He further compared Bumrah's case to a similar episode with Ravindra Jadeja, when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) removed the all-rounder as captain mid-season in IPL 2022 before MS Dhoni took back the reigns.

"Something, similar happened with Ravindra Jadeja at CSK. But the team management and the captain came in and sorted out everything. In my opinion, what will happen is... I am sure the team management will sit with Pandya, Bumrah, and Rohit and sort out things."

Jasprit Bumrah's on-field performance in the IPL has been nothing short of stellar. With 145 wickets in 120 matches, he has been a consistent wicket-taker and a key player in MI's success. His ability to break partnerships and provide crucial breakthroughs has been instrumental in the franchise's multiple title triumphs.
