'Happy, But...': Arshdeep Singh's Emotional Note After Winning Player of the Match Award

In a spectacular display of bowling brilliance, Arshdeep Singh emerged as the star of the show in the opening ODI between India and South Africa at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. After a drawn T20 series, India marked their presence emphatically in the ODIs, trouncing the Proteas by restricting them to a mere 116 runs and securing an 8-wicket victory.

Arshdeep Singh etched his name in the record books by becoming the first Indian pacer to claim a five-wicket haul against South Africa in ODI cricket. His figures of 5/37 in 10 overs showcased his skill, precision, and the ability to dismantle the opposition's batting lineup. 

Arshdeep's relentless performance started early in the innings, as he dismissed key batsmen, including Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, and the dangerous Tony de Zorzi.

Acknowledging his outstanding contribution to India's dominant performance, Arshdeep Singh was rightfully awarded the Player of the Match. His achievement not only secured a comprehensive victory for India but also marked a historic moment in his personal career.

"I feel little sore and loving this moment. Thank God and support staff for their support. I did not know about that. After 3-4 overs, I was gasping for breath. Personally, feels great. Performing for my country gives me pleasure and thank Rahul Bhai. Lot of hard work behind the scenes and thank you for the family. It's about enjoying this moment and when we go to the next game it's all about sticking to the process and continue the good work that we are doing. Happy with the win, but this is just one game."
