The cricket world is on its way to witness another thrilling T20I series. Pakistan is all set to face South Africa in a three-match T20I series. After missing the T20I series against Zimbabwe, Babar Azam is back in the squad. Before the series stars, South African bowler Tabraiz Shamsi revealed his plans for Babar Azam.

Under Mohammad Rizwan’s captaincy, Pakistan is all set to take on South Africa in a three-match T20I series. Both teams are ready for the upcoming face-off. Before that, Tabraiz Shamsi revealed his strategy for Babar Azam and also praised Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal.

Shamsi’s Plan For Babar Azam

South Africa is set to host Pakistan in a three-match T20I series on their home soil. After missing out on the recently ended T20I series against Zimbabwe, Babar Azam made a comeback in the squad. Before facing Pakistan, star South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi revealed his plans for the prolific Pakistan batter.

“I haven’t yet devised a specific plan to dismiss Babar Azam, as my focus has been on the tournament in Guyana. However, having faced him before, I have an idea of what to do. He’s a great player, and upon returning, I’ll sit with the analysts to develop plans that will benefit the team.” Shamsi said.

Praising Saeed Ajmal

Shamsi is all set to face challenges in the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. Before stepping into the series, he showered praises on Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal. The Marquee South African spinner called him ‘Truly Inspirational”.

“It’s hard to pick one, but Saeed Ajmal was truly inspirational. I studied his bowling closely. His ability to spin the ball both ways was exceptional, and our styles are quite similar. I’ve also admired Brad Hogg’s bowling.” Shamsi said.

After missing out on the entire Zimbabwe tour, former Pakistani captain Babar Azam came back into the squad. His performance will be under scrutiny as the batter failed to make a mark across formats in recent times. Before the first match, he was seen in net for a long time as the Pakistani batter is eager to prove himself in the shortest format.
