In this article, let’s take a look at the top five bowling performances from Ranji Trophy 2024-25 after round 3, where bowlers dominated the proceedings.
5. G Anikethreddy's 6/56 vs Puducherry
Hyderabad's G Anikethreddy came to the fore against Puducherry with a scorching spell of 6/56 that left the visitors in a mess in the opening essay in Hyderabad. Early into his rhythm, Anikethreddy struck in his second over by removing Sagar Udeshi for a duck. His rhythm was impeccable as he pinned Arun Karthik and Anand Bais leg-before to break the middle order.
Coming in with a lot of bounce and lateral movement, Anikethreddy had Puducherry's batters playing with fire. A bunch of wickets were the result of his movement off the pitch as he contained Puducherry to just 153 in the first innings. This spell set the tone for Hyderabad's innings win, thereby making the effort by Anikethreddy quite vital to Hyderabad's dominant display.
4. Umar Nazir's 6/53 vs Services
Jammu & Kashmir's Umar Nazir ran through Services in Srinagar, recording the stunning figures of 6/53 in the second innings. After Services were made to bat again, Nazir bowled at pace with accuracy, attacking the stumps and capitalising on the variable bounce.
Early in the day, he sent back Shubham Rohilla and Jayant Goyat to trigger the collapse. His sizzling deliveries got the better of the middle order of Services batsmen comprising Ravi Chauhan and Lovekesh Bansal, leaving the visitors gasping at 75/4.
Nazir's spell ensured Services folded without any further resistance for 132, thus handing J&K innings-and-25-run victory. It was a spell that spoke volumes of his lethal pace and ability to deliver when his team needed it the most.

Bowling in the second innings, he went on to remove Shivam Chaudhary, Ashutosh Sharma, and Yuvraj Singh in quick succession, making the batters dance according to his tunes. Jadeja's accuracy pushed Railways' lower order to crumble under pressure as he cleaned up the tail to bundle them out for 141.
Though Saurashtra went on to lose the match by 37 runs, one cannot take anything away from Jadeja's brilliance with the ball that kept his team in the hunt, hence making it one of the most impactful spells of the round.
