Bangladesh had its Asia Cup opener against Hong Kong on September 11, and the Bengal Tigers announced their arrival with a big bang. While the bowling performance could have been better, the batters did their job well, with special mention for Litton Das, who slammed a 39-ball 59.

However, regardless of Litton's heroics, Bangladesh have skilful batters who have been impressing with their six-hitting ability for a long time. Here in this listicle, we take a look at the players who boast the most number of sixes for Bangladesh in international cricket's shortest format.

5) Tamim Iqbal (44 Sixes)

Tamim Iqbal, allegedly the hardest hitter in Bangladesh, retired from international cricket this year, back in January. However, that doesn't stop his legacy in the game as he makes it to the top 5 of this list with his 44 sixes in T20I cricket. Iqbal's most ferocious knock.

To remember his most explosive knock, Tamim struck his maiden and only T20I century in the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 group match against Oman at Dharamsala, scoring an unbeaten 103 off 63 balls at a strike rate of 163.49. Opening the innings, he powered Bangladesh to a commanding 180/2 in 20 overs, which proved more than sufficient for victory.

4) Shakib Al Hasan (53 sixes)

Shakib Al Hasan is widely regarded as Bangladesh’s greatest all-rounder and a key figure in the nation’s cricketing history. Since his T20I debut in 2006, Shakib has showcased his dynamic left-handed batting. In T20Is, he has smashed 53 sixes, highlighting his ability to accelerate the innings.

One of his best T20I knocks was when Shakib Al Hasan stood tall with the bat for Bangladesh in a group stage clash against Pakistan at Pallekele, scoring a brilliant 84, his highest T20I score to date. Shakib brought up his half-century in just 33 balls with a six and continued to dominate even after the fielding restrictions ended.

3) Soumya Sarkar (55 sixes)

Soumya Sarkar is an explosive top-order batter and is known for his fearlessness and power-hitting ability. Accumulating 55 sixes in T20 Internationals, Soumya has had a reputation for attacking bowlers from the outset.

Soumya's aggressive style has made him a valuable asset in the shortest format. Soumya Sarkar played a match-winning knock of 68 runs from 49 balls in Bangladesh’s chase against Zimbabwe back in 2021. His innings was laced with nine boundaries and a single six, providing the backbone of the chase. Sarkar’s composed stroke play ensured Bangladesh successfully overhauled the 194-run target with four balls remaining.

2) Mahmudullah (77 sixes)

Mahmudullah has been a pivotal figure in Bangladesh’s middle order, blending stability with an ability to hit big shots when the situation demands. With 77 sixes in T20Is, he ranks second on the list, reflecting his strength as a finisher.

Over the years, Mahmudullah’s experience and ability to read the game have made him indispensable in tight situations, though he retired in March 2025. Mahmudullah scored his highest T20I score of 64 off 48 balls with three fours and four sixes against West Indies in 2012, sharing a strong stand with Tamim.

1) Litton Das (78 sixes)

The top of the six-hitting list is made by Bangladesh skipper Litton Das, who has managed to bag 78 sixes in his T20I tally. He makes it to the top of the list with his recent exploits against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup.

Litton Das anchored Bangladesh’s chase with a fluent 59 off 39 balls, striking six boundaries and a six. He batted with authority, maintaining a healthy strike rate of 151.28. His aggressive stroke play, especially the lone six, eased pressure during the middle overs and set up the platform for Towhid Hridoy to finish the chase comfortably.
