After a heavy drubbing against New Zealand, Sri Lanka's road to semi-finals in the T20 World Cup 2022 has been disrupted but skipper Dasun Shanaka is optimistic about about his side to complete the job.

He believes that his team has the capability of bouncing back from a tough situation which they have done before. According to him, the Asia Cup winners are not yet out of the competition and can still display a solid show to seal their semi-final berth.

As of now, the Island nation is at last position in Group 1 of Super 12 with their two matches left against Afghanistan and England. Having two points, they need to win both of their games with huge margins and hope other results go their favour to qualify for the next round.

What skipper Dasun Shanaka said

"I think we can still bounce back from this point,

"We have bounced back in the past, especially this young team. So they have gone through a lot of hard times. So I think we still can bounce back from this situation and manage to get to the semis."

Sri Lanka will play their next game Afghanistan on 1st November at the Gabba, Brisbane.
