Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag was known for his jesting demeanour, both on and off the field. Meanwhile, his ODI opening partner Sachin Tendulkar kept a calm composure and maintained a gentlemanly presence over his teammates.

Surprisingly, Sehwag has now recalled a prank orchestrated by Tendulkar, which the two pulled off on their former captain Sourav Ganguly during their playing days.

Sehwag reveals Adidas prank on Sourav Ganguly

Virender Sehwag recently appeared on the long-running web show ‘Breakfast with Champions’. During the interview, he hilariously recalled a prank orchestrated by his senior teammate Sachin Tendulkar.

The former opening batter revealed that since he and Tendulkar were brand ambassadors for Adidas at the time, the ‘Master Blaster’ had asked him to play along in a prank when the two went together in the team’s washroom.

Sehwag said that both he and Tendulkar pretended to have a loud conversation about having received Adidas T-shirts straight from Germany, and they made sure their discussion was heard by Sourav Ganguly who had went inside the toilet room himself.

“Sachin said, 'These T-shirts from Adidas from Germany, how good are they.’ I agreed saying, 'The stuff is really good'. And saying all this, we came out. Then, Dada called up Adidas, asking them to send the T-shirts from Germany, which were given to Sachin and Sehwag.”

Notably, Adidas penned a five-year Indian team’s jersey sponsorship deal with the BCCI last month itself. The sporting giants also unveiled their new Team India kit designs for all formats, just days prior to India’s WTC final clash against Australia.
