One a modern-day legend and another aspiring to be a great, India's Virat Kohli and Pakistan's Babar Azam have often been pitted against each other by former players, fans, and critics alike.

Azam has been on a run-scoring spree in the last few years, something that Kohli used to do in his prime, however, the latter suffered a slump in form post-pandemic and has just recently started milking runs.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, who is regarded as one of the best, highlighted a major difference between Kohli and Azam, where the former India skipper leads the current Pakistan captain.

Speaking to the Times of India, Razzaq stated that people should refrain from comparing such players, who are already a cut above the rest.

Here's what Razzaq said

"Virat is an outstanding and fantastic player. The best part is that he takes his team along. His intent is always positive. He utilises his skills very well. The main thing is that his fitness is world-class. Babar Azam's fitness is not like that of Virat Kohli's. Babar needs to work more on his fitness,"

Kohli, who recently slammed his 75th international century, will be seen in action in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 with Royal Challengers Bangalore, while Babar Azam, who played in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 last was rested for Pakistan's three-match T20I series against Afghanistan.
