Indian ace Virat Kohli has been in splendid form since the Asia Cup and he has taken his batting to a whole new level in the T20 World Cup 2022.

The 33-year-old played a match-winning knock against Pakistan in India's World Cup opener with 82 unbeaten runs. He followed it up with another classic against the Netherlands. Kohli remained unbeaten on 62 as India clinched their second successive win.

The player has now reflected on his impressive performance in the World Cup and shared his thoughts on Australia pitches.

Kohli believes that there are no better surfaces to bat if once can adapt to the conditions and bounce. Australian conditions are fairly neutral and they tend to assist both batters and bowlers. Therefore, Kohli's comments are certainly interesting.

The Indian batter is no stranger to playing in Australian conditions and one would have to wonder whether the pitches in the World Cup have aided his return to form.

Regardless, the Indian fans will be hoping that Kohli can continue to shine throughout the World Cup and guide them to the trophy. India will need the 33-year-old to continue to fire on all cylinders especially with the likes of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma struggling to hit top form.

As quoted by ANI, Virat Kohli said:

"I do not watch any videos. I go to the nets straight and try to figure things out. Of course, you do look stupid for the first few balls. But there is a natural instinct, you know batting, you react. After this, you realise that if a ball bounces this way, you have to be upright instead of being low in your stance.

"You cannot come prepared from India. You figure out the conditions and you adapt on the field. There are no wickets better for batting than the ones in Australia if you get used to pace here."
