Batting wonderfully for his side in the first innings, Punjab Kings' (PBKS) skipper Shikhar Dhawan paved the way for their victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the last-over thriller.

The game was changing momentums with time as the balance was shifting after every few overs with ultimately Punjab winning by 5 runs in a tense encounter.

After the match, Dhawan who played an outstanding 86-run knock where he remained not out in the end, explained that it was quite nervous out there in the middle.

Adding that his side played brilliantly to first post a decent total on the board and then defend it, especially under dew calling it a team effort.

"Yes, absolutely there were nervous moments. But I was keeping calm and discussed with the bowlers about the plan. There was dew, you have to respect that. I am happy with the total we put on the board. We scored 197 and then our bowlers gave us early wickets before Nathan Ellis came and bowled well. It was a full team effort,"

Moreover, when asked about the turning point in the match, the southpaw burst into laughter before cheekily replying that it was his switch hit which he played during the game.

"Switch Hit (haha, replies to the question about which was his favourite shot in his innings). I doing my best to increase the strike rate. This time we have got a big batting lineup. These two games we were playing well. Starting with Prabhsimran Singh and then I played according to the situation. We will try to keep the momentum going with intent and keep the aggression going."

Shikhar-led Kings will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on 9th April at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
