Scott Boland or Lance Morris? Ian Healy picks his pacer for Nagpur Test

Former Australian wicket-keeper, Ian Healy reckons that Scott Boland should play alongside Pat Cummins if the visitors decide to go with just two pacers for the Nagpur Test. He also stated that Lance Morris should only get a chance if the Aussies decide to play with three seamers.

There's a lot of buzz going around regarding Australia's playing combination. It is expected that the Nagpur pitch will assist the spinners and Cummins and co. will be tempted to play two front-line spinners.

Moreover, Cameron Green's injury has hampered Australia's game-plan. Even though Green might play as a pure batter, but had he bowled in the match, Australia could have easily gone with two spinners.

"We've only got Cummins for the first Test. We might play two spinners or may not, which would mean we’d need Boland and Morris," Healy said on SENQ Breakfast radio.

"If Australia play two quicks, Boland should get a nod, if three quicks play, then Morris can play. We can't win in India by being conservative. Cummins and Morris may not be enough to win the first Test match. We've only won a solitary Test in India since 2004," Healy added.

With Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood already out of the first Test due to injuries, Australia's selection headache has increased for the upcoming Test match.

The first Test begins on February 9 in Nagpur.
