Quetta Gladiators skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed reckons that pace duo of Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain will do wonders for the team in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The captain believes that the presence of the local players will be beneficial for his side, as the players will know the conditions on the back of their hands.
“We are fortunate to have Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Hasnain, who is an integral part of the Pakistan T20 team,” Sarfaraz said to Cricket Pakistan in an exclusive interview.
“Naseem has improved as a bowler, and his pace has also increased; his pace, combined with the swing, can be lethal. Whereas, Hasnain has also worked on his action and returned as an improved bowler so they can do wonders for the team," skipper added.
Sarfaraz, 35, also stated that the presence of Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga for the entire season will be beneficial for the franchise.
"Hasaranga is an important addition to our side. He is the number one spinner in the world, so we selected him as our first pick. If he is available for us from the first game, then it will be really good for us,” he opined.
The Pakistan Super League starts from February 13. The first match will take place between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans.
