Former Kent pacer Robbie Joseph has joined Gloucestershire as bowling coach until the 2025 season after previous stint with the county as consultant yielded great results.
At the back end of the 2022 season, the right-armer joined the side when they didn't had even a single victory to their name where after his arrival, the county won two out of two games with bowlers impressing primarily.
After joining the side on full-time basis, Joseph said,
"It's an interesting one for me to be a part of that mix. I hope to help everyone individually to ensure they get the best out of themselves as cricketers."
Another reason why he was excited to join the side was that there are a variety of players in the ranks who could come in and provide options. Further, mix of youth and seniors makes it a little more lucrative.
County's performance director Steve Snell was full of praise for the new coach. He stated,
"I'm really pleased that we’ve secured Robbie on a full-time basis. He made an outstanding impact at the back end of the season when he was with us for a couple of months on a consultancy basis."
The 40-year-old will replace Ryan Higgins who has moved on to re-join Middlesex in that very capacity.
