Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq eyeing World Test Championship Final

Imam-ul-Haq recently established himself as one of the most consistent batters in Test cricket for Pakistan. Currently playing in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for Balochistan, Imam is gearing up for a jam-packed Test season ahead with England and New Zealand visiting Pakistani shores.

According to cricketpakistan, Imam has expressed his desire to play for Pakistan in the ICC World Test Championship Final at the Oval next year. Pakistan are placed fifth in the WTC points table with 51.85 percent.

The Babar Azam-led side will play as many as five Tests over the next two months —three Tests against England and two Tests against New Zealand.

"Due to the World Test Championship, the series against England and New Zealand is important for us. We can stay in the race for the final by winning three or four matches during the upcoming series.”

The left-handed opener thanked teams for visiting Pakistan and remained hopeful of putting a spectacle for home fans with his batting. 

Pakistan takes on England in the first Test from December 1 at Rawalpindi.
