In the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have secured back-to-back impressive victories, prompting cricket analyst Aakash Chopra to suggest that other playoff contenders should be concerned.

RCB showcased their dominance by securing a comprehensive eight-wicket win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Hyderabad on Thursday riding on the back of a magnificent century by Virat Kohli. This triumph followed their previous game against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), where they annihilated their opponents with a 112-run victory just four days earlier.

Chopra expressed his opinion in a video posted on his YouTube channel, emphasizing that RCB's recent dominant performances could unsettle the other teams vying for a playoff spot. He stated that RCB are not just alive, but they are thriving in full force.

According to the former cricketer, the Bangalore-based franchise has dominated their opponents and it should instil a sense of fear in the other teams.

"Bangalore are alive and they are properly alive. They have won their last two games in a canter. So the other teams should be slightly scared but who will progress will now only be known on Sunday evening," said Chopra.

Meanwhile, RCB's triumph over SRH was largely attributed to the stellar performances of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. Kohli showcased his exceptional batting skills by scoring a century off 63 deliveries, while du Plessis contributed a commendable 71 runs off 47 balls.

The dynamic opening pair formed an impressive partnership, adding 172 runs in just 17.5 overs during the pursuit of a target of 187 runs, effectively extinguishing any hopes of a SRH win. With their recent victories, RCB has demonstrated their formidability and raised the stakes for the other teams in contention.
