India's modern-day 'Wall', Cheteshwar Pujara is all set to play his 100th Test on Friday when the hosts clash against Australia in Delhi for the second match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023.

Ahead of the Test, Pujara opened up about his upcoming milestone, stating that his passion has become his profession.

Pujara had a poor outing in Nagpur scoring 9 runs, in India's innings and 132 runs win, taking a 1-0 lead. Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, the 35-year-old said that he does not need any motivation to keep playing cricket.

Here's what Pujara said

“It's the love for the game. My passion has become my profession. I never dreamt of doing anything else apart from playing cricket. I don't need any kind of motivation to do well. And it's not just about international cricket.

If you look at my performances in games at whatever level - club, state, county, country - no one can question my commitment. I hate losing,”

The Saurashtra batter further said that yoga has helped him immensely and that he will be focused on doing well for India.

Since making his debut in 2010, Pujara has played 99 Tests and scored 7,021 runs with 19 centuries and 34 half-centuries.

The star batter played a monumental role in India's series victory over Australia in Australia during the BGT 2020-21.
