The Australian spinners ran riot in the Indore Test against India, handing their side a memorable win and a chance to make a comeback in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023.

While Nathan Lyon claimed 11 wickets in the match, Matthew Kuhnemann's maiden Test fifer in the first innings scripted India's downfall from which they could not recover.

Former Australia international Michael Hussey has backed Kuhnemann to partner Lyon in the fourth and final Test over Todd Murphy. Interestingly, Murphy claimed five wickets in his debut Test in Nagpur.

Speaking to SEN Network, Hussey pointed out Kuhnemann's ability to take the ball away from the batter, which hands him an advantage over Murphy.

Here's what Hussey said

“I’ve been really impressed with Murphy, he looks really good. Having said that though, I like to have the balance in the attack where you’ve got one guy spinning it into the right-hander and one guy spinning away.

"I’d probably lean towards Kuhnemann, but only for that reason that he’s turning the ball in the opposite direction."

Hussey, known as Mr. Cricket, further said that Nathan Lyon can continue to play Tests as long as he wants as they attain their peak in their 30s or late 30s.

Steve Smith will continue to lead Australia in the Ahmedabad Test in the absence of Pat Cummins

The fourth and final Test begins on March 9, the BGT 2023 2-1 in favour of India.
