Australian cricketers Meg Lanning, Ashleigh Gardner, and Tahila McGrath are likely to opt out of the upcoming The Hundred Women's competition due to a jam-packed season.

Post the T20 World Cup, Australian women travel to England for the Ashes, comprising of a Test, 3 ODIs, and as many T20Is. West Indies travel to Australia for a series before the start of the Women's Big Bash League,  and ending 2023 with a visit to India.

As per a report in Zero Wicket, other Australian players like Alyssa Healy (Northern Superchargers), Alana King (Trent Rockets), Ellyse Perry (Birmingham Phoenix), and Beth Mooney are expected to feature in the third season of the highly-successful women's competition.

Lanning is currently leading Australia in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 taking place in South Africa, where her side notched up an easy win over Bangladesh last evening.

All three players, however, will participate in the cash-rich Women's Premier League (WPL) next month, where as many as 14 Australian players have been picked up.

Gardner will play for Gujarat Giants, Lanning will represent Delhi Capitals, and McGrath will be seen with the UP Warriorz franchise.

The upcoming Women's 100-ball tournament will take place between August 1 and 27, with its inaugural draft taking place on March 23.
