Jos Buttler reveals World Cup dream ahead of Pakistan vs England

England made their way into the T20 World Cup 2022 final after a convincing win over India in the semi finals. 

The Three Lions picked up a ten-wicket win and they will be fairly confident heading into the finals. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales looked in ominous form against the Men in Blue and they will look to make a devastating impact against Pakistan as well. 

Captain Jos Buttler has now revealed to the ICC that it is dream for him to lead his side in the World Cup final and the Three Lions will look to clinch the trophy on Sunday. 

"Yeah, I've certainly had a few dreams about that kind of thing, and of course I think it really links back to what you were like as a kid really, the kind of things you would be doing in the garden with your brother and sister, pretending to lift a trophy and that kind of thing, and now to be able to have the opportunity to have a chance to live that kind of thing out is incredibly special. I think it's fine to sort of think about those things and sort of what it might feel like or what it would mean. They're certainly feelings I don't feel like I need to try and block out or push away. You almost accept those kind of things as like accepting the noise that comes with a World Cup final."

Pakistan on the other hand, picked up a comfortable win over New Zealand in the semi finals and they will fancy their chances of picking up a win on Sunday. 

Both teams have done well to bounce back from a difficult start to make their way into the final and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. 

Meanwhile, there are chances the final could be affected by rain and both teams will be hoping that the grand event does not end up as a washout. 

England opener Buttler has opened up about Pakistan's impressive pace bowling attack as well. The Men in Green have produced impressive fast bowlers over the years and their form in the final would go a long way in deciding the final. 

"They are an excellent team and have a long history of producing quality fast bowlers, and the team we are up (on Sunday) against is no different.

"I am sure some of the guys we will go up against will go down at the end of their careers as some of the best bowlers Pakistan have ever produced and that’s a huge part of why they have got to a World Cup final."
