Jhulan Goswami, one of the greatest pacers to have played the game of cricket, bowed out of the game yesterday after the game against England. While doing so she added another feather in her cap, becoming the first ever female cricketer to bowl 10,000 deliveries in ODI cricket history.

The 39 year old, who currently holds the record for most wickets in the history of women's ODIs has bowled a mind boggling total of 10,005 deliveries in her ODI career.

India ensured that the senior player got a fitting farewell by winning the third ODI and the series by 3-0. The third ODI was low scoring affair which started with India being bowled out for 169 in the first innings. England couldn't score freely either as Indian bowlers kept taking wickets at regular intervals. The hosts fell short of the target by 16 runs.

Talking about Goswami's retirement, current skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said

“I know it was her last game but we’ll always remember her, she’s always with us and she’s just a call away when we need her. I’m thankful we had the chance to play with her."
