Jasprit Bumrah has been one of India's biggest asset since he debuted for 'Men In Blue' in 2016. His ability to deliver at crucial junctures has made him India's premier bowler across formats and is considered as one of the world's best bowlers currently. However, a back injury has kept him out of action since September 2022 and it hampered both India and MI in T20 World Cup 2022 and IPL 2023 respectively.
Bumrah underwent a back surgery in March 2023 in New Zealand and all Indian cricket fans have been awaiting eagerly for their star bowler's return. He is expected to be fit before the all-important World Cup 2023 to be played in October in India and looks like he has kick-started his preparations now.
The Indian pacer has posted a photo of his spikes on his Instagram account with a beautiful caption -
"Hello friend, we meet again 🤝''
The caption and the photo indicates that Jasprit Bumrah has resumed his training and with more than four months remaining for the World Cup, we can expect Bumrah to be fit and raring to go for the marquee event.
However, he would need some game-time before the World Cup and if he can get himself ready for the Asia Cup, which might be held in September, it would be a big-plus for India and Bumrah.
