In what could be a massive blow to India, Jasprit Bumrah's comeback is likely to be delayed further, as the ace seamer is likely to miss the final two Tests of the ongoing series against Australia

Earlier, it was reported that Bumrah had started bowling in the nets in the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. However, as per a latest report published in The Telegraph, the Indian management has decided against rushing him for the Australia Tests.

Furthermore, the final call regarding the bowler's participation in the subsequent ODI series will be taken next week.

Despite being incredibly talented, Bumrah's career has been consistently marred by injury setbacks. The 29-year-old sustained a back injury, which ruled him out of the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Although the star bowler was included in India's squad for the home series against Sri Lanka, but he was eventually sidelined from the tour in the eleventh hour after sustaining a right glute stiffness.

However, India definitely have a solid bench-strength to make up for the bowler's absence. Bowlers like Mohammed Siraj are capable enough to fill his shoes in the Australia home series.
